Whaledreamers Movie
This full length documentary film is a labour of love, co created over many years, with love magic and serendipity. It won many film awards, including best Overall Film at the Monaco Angel Film Festival. It was also screened at Cannes and was loved by audiences and critics alike. “There is pure magic afoot!”…..
The film was written, produced, directed and part narrated by Kim Kindersley and Julian Lennon.
However there are too many people to thank and list here who participated over many years in deep trust and faith to make it happen. In many ways the story behind the film is more extraordinary than the film itself.
It follows Kim Kindersley a documentary film maker and actor on his journey to uncover humanity’s deepest and oldest connection to the cetaceans, whales, dolphins and indigenous tribes on our planet. It is a story of terrible loss and yet at the same time great hope. Through a mystical encounter with a friendly dolphin in Dingle Bay in 1990 our film maker gives up his career as an actor to follow his heart into the heart of Whaledreaming itself. It centers around the so called extinction of a whale tribe called The Mirning People or the people of the whale.
The British government decided it was fair to donate 18 nuclear explosions killing possibly 1000s of desert tribal people. However a few of the Whaledreamers from that region survived against the odds, even though their sacred lands were given to another tribe……..this film shows the slow, painful process of being recognised again as a people and most especially as People of the Whale. An extraordinary gathering of whale elders from around the world ensues, funded through magical means, involving a snake and a red tailed hawk. Julian Lennon comes in to fund the filming along with the ABC and David Jowsey of Australia.
All those years ago when Kim was later filming a behind the scenes movie for VH1 of Julian Lennon on tour in Australia, he was visited by the same Mirning people. Julian Lennon describes it thus, I quote - “Dad(John Lennon Imagine) once said to me, that should he pass away, if there was some way of letting me know he was going to be ok – that we were all going to be ok – the message would come to me in the form of a White Feather. Then something happened to me, whilst on tour with the album, Photograph Smile, in Australia. I was presented with a White Feather by an Aboriginal tribal elder, from The Mirning people, which definitely took my breath away.

The White Feather Foundation was created for the purpose of giving a voice and support to those who cannot be heard. The tribal elders asked for my help, as I could bring awareness to their plight and to others who were suffering the same. Having had the White Feather bestowed upon me, I knew this endeavour was to be part of my destiny. One thing for sure is that the White Feather has always represented peace to me, as well as communication…”
Yet behind the gesture was something even deeper still. The feather was filmed in the circle of a week of prayers by our Indigenous elders in the deserts of the Nullabor. The prayers were calling for a time of the Da Ni La We Ga, the time of the great coming together. The prayers were infused with dreaming stories, invocations and the return the Whaledreaming chants and songs. Medicine wheels were built, and the whales were called again to do ceremony with us humans. In that moment a large crystal was placed in the ocean where a baby whale surfaced for us all to see. The cycle of forgiveness and reconnection had properly started.
Much has happened in the intervening time but many of us recognise we are in the pivotal moment of a monumental shift in consciousness.
This is what the Whaledreamers film is all about.
Julian Lennon’s Whitefeather foundation is now spreading the word of loving kindness in many different ways. The spirit of what happened on the cliffs of the Nullabor as seen in the movie, is now being shared with a global audience on line every tuesday in the Kim Kindersley Heart of Breath Ceremonial Breathworks. Its based on the invocation, shared by the elders at the Whaledreaming gathering captured in the film.
So the Whaledreaming film is now a living breathing action being made manifest in the world. The whales are literally calling us home to the heart and in Mirning, the word for heart and fire is one and the same. The point is that the seed of the Whaledreaming is alive in us and growing as we all start to remember who we are..

Whaledreamers Original Soundtrack
The Whaledreamers Movie Soundtrack - exclusive to Heart of Breath
Many times during breathworks people ask for the music that they hear in the flows and circles. This album of 13 tracks was made as a soundtrack for the film produced by Julian Lennon.
It features music that was not included in the film.
It includes extraordinary messages from many indigenous elders from around the world, including Arvol Looking Horse and the Whaledreamers themselves.
Bunna Laurie features as well as elders who have passed for the Waramirri people, people of the Whale.
We are so happy to be finally sharing this sacred music and soundtrack for the first time in the hope that many will receive the blessings within the frequencies shared. It feels like this music and message are for exactly now…

Prerecorded Breathwork
It’s important to watch this short video with the technique of how to breath connected, consciously. All levels are welcome but first please check the waiver and contraindications and if in any doubt, you could join us by breathing normally, using the videos to simply be present as in a simple meditation.
The technique is suggested through an open mouth, with the emphasise on the IN breath, focussed but relaxed. Imagining you are taking every IN breath like a new born baby’s first breath, full of curiosity, wonder, awe and new life.
The release breath is simply letting go but with no pushing. Just like sighing or dying…….then we breath in again. We do this to begin with very gently for about 25 - 30 minutes and over time we can increase its duration. This breathwork is gentle but at the same time can result in a variety of experiences from sleeping, to becoming very relaxed, to also activating stuck energy in the form of old possibly hidden memories, possibly old childhood traumas, collective energies, trapped emotions and patterns, the list goes on and on.

The Way Book One Course - a 10 Week Immersive Online Journey.

We work with Presence Process and the idea of exploring your birth, first 7 years and cycles of life thereafter. This way we get to understand our subconscious programming and where we have blind spots. It can show us where the roots of reactive behaviour are and so on.
